Project EZRA

Holidays can be challenging times for families who find themselves financially strapped. Project Ezra is a longstanding partnership between Temple Isaiah and Shir Tikvah in Winchester that helps out such families by making and delivering delicious home cooked Christmas meals. View History of Project Ezra

Every year, usually on December 24 and December 25, we gather in the Temple Isaiah kitchen and prepare a full Christmas dinner for approximately 80 families in need as designated by local area social service agencies This is a great family friendly, fun and rewarding project, and we could use your help! There are opportunities in advance and on the day of for which you can volunteer. You can donate nonperishable items in advance (i.e. cans of cranberry sauce, frozen peas) or donate food that you prepare (turkey breast, stuffing, desserts). You can come in on December 24 to cook, prep, carve the turkey breast, assemble the meals, help your children decorate bags for the meals, deliver meals, and more.

In the fall, general information, recipes, and the schedule for the day, will be provided at a signup site. If you have any questions contact the team at projectezra@templeisaiah.net.

We welcome financial contributions as well.
