Amy Salinger

Originally from Maine, Amy Salinger has been teaching in Jewish Education in the Boston area for several years since earning degrees in education from Simmons College and Wheelock College. Amy also has a Certificate in Family Education from Hebrew College along with holding teaching licenses from the state of Massachusetts.  She also is certified to teach and direct private preschool programs.

Currently Amy is a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher in the Framingham Public Schools and teaches in one of the Framingham summer school programs for elementary school students.  Prior to teaching in the Framingham Public School System, Amy was a Family Educator at Temple Sinai in Brookline, the Teacher/Director for the former Temple Emeth Nursery School in Chestnut Hill and taught Hebrew School to kindergarten and first grade students at Temple Hillel Bnai Torah in West Roxbury.

Amy is the co-author for a guidebook, Practical Summer Camp English in Boston, which is designed to support campers visiting from China who spend their summers at Concord Academy Summer Day Camp. Amy also has taught  campers from China ESL tutoring.

When Amy is not in the classroom, she is enrolled in coursework to expand her MA teaching licenses, volunteers for her home synagogue in Natick, and enjoys spending time outdoors biking and walking.

Amy and her husband Jay have three children and reside in Framingham.
