Monday, March 14, 2016 10:00 AM   -   12:00 PM
Location: Library

The Knitzvah group, a component of Hineini (the caring community), provides shawls and lap throws for Temple Isaiah members in need of a caring lift. They also support domestic abuse survivors through Jewish Family & Children’s Services by providing shawls, hats/scarves/mittens for women and children. They also make warm items such as hats and scarves to support Action for Post-Soviet Jewry for children attending Jewish Day schools and elders via the “Bubbes and Zaydes” program.

Knitzvah meets twice a month. The Monday group meets at the Temple Library from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on the second Monday of every month (except on holidays). The Sunday group schedule is announced by email.

The group has regular attendees and others who drop in occasionally. Some members knit/crochet at home and drop off their finished projects. If you can’t commit to two hours, you are welcome to join the group for whatever time your schedule permits. No stash, no needles? No problem! We have some needles, a variety of patterns and a supply of donated non-wool yarn, although many folks provide their own materials.

Meetings are announced via our Knitzvah email list. If you have questions or would like to sign up, please email knitzvah@templeisaiah.net to contact our coordinators, Harriet Silverman, Elizabeth Elkins, and Suzanne Frank.
