February 2017 is Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month

Sunday, February 5 from 9:00 am -10:30 am 

A panel will discuss the complexities and successes in creating an inclusive community.  The presenters will share personal experiences and professional expertise with the aim of expanding our community knowledge and commitment to meeting the needs of individuals and families with different abilities, including mental health, intellectual, medical, and physical challenges.  Following the presentations, we will have a question and answer period.  Please join us for coffee, a nosh, presentations, and conversations.

Friday, Februay 17 at 8 pm

Join us for a special Shabbat service focused on our Jewish responsibility to inclusion.  Throughout the service congregants will share their personal stories regarding what an inclusive congregation means and feels like. The service will be followed by an oneg Shabbat that models inclusive seating, social connections, and snack selection.
