Introduction to Judaism

A course for anyone interested in exploring Judaism — interfaith couples, those considering conversion and Jews looking for adult-level basics. This class introduces the fundamentals of Jewish thought and practice in 16-20 weeks. Topics include Jewish holidays and life cycle events, theology and prayer, Israel, history and Hebrew. Participants will gain comfort and familiarity with the symbols, liturgy, music, traditions and Hebrew blessings that accompany Jewish celebrations in the home and synagogue.

Partners in an interfaith relationship are encouraged to enroll together.

The course is taught by Reform rabbis, cantors and Jewish educators.

Please contact Rabbi Amy Hertz for more information.

Register here for our upcoming class beginning on March 21, 2023.  This class is run collaboratively with Beth El Temple Center and Shir Tikvah Winchester.
