Yom Shabbat
Yom Shabbat is a special opportunity to spend one Shabbat each month at the temple, exploring a specific Jewish theme. Past themes have ranged from the Jewish communities of India, Italy, and South American, to social action, to Jewish arts and music, to how Judaism deals with scientific discovery. Yom Shabbat often starts with Shabbat dinner and Friday night services, continuing with a Saturday afternoon program with speakers, a panel discussion, film, or some other form of presentation, and concluding with Havdalah. Yom Shabbat/Scholar’s Weekend
Yom Shabbat/Scholar’s Weekends provide an opportunity for a more in-depth treatment of particular subjects by a well-regarded scholar, typically a rabbi or professor. Click here for more information on our most recent program which was held this year on October 16-18, 2009.
